Glitter, Oil, Acrylic commissioned painting of a Queen in a ballgown…

This piece was for my friend who saw a sketch that I done and wanted a replica. She is apart of an organization with the star as their symbol. It’s made with oil, acrylic, some watercolor, and glitter.

24×36 mixed media canvas titled “Princess Now, Queen Later”

I had the honor of creating an artpiece for someone’s daughter. I was given multiple pictures to decide which to recreate but the poses were too adorable that I had to do three. This was a challenge as I am not used to illustrating a person. I can draw and paint people all day but to paint a specific person? I was hesitant but the recipient let me know if he wanted it exact, he would have blown up a photograph. I was given full reign to create it how I pleased. Here is the result. I can’t wait for the video of when his daughter sees it.

The beginning stages….
